Sworded Affaire has Rapier fighting as its best with the Captain of the Silver Tyne Tourney (you don’t need to have a Silver Tyne to fight in this tournament), MOD Tourney (anyone who is authorized to fight rapier is able to fight in the MOD tourney), Master Govonan’s Single-sword Tourney, and a Drawn Targets Tourney. Cut & Thrust will have a modified Swiss Five tournament, and a Spear Demo as well. Additionally, rapier melees are planned those still itching for some fighting come Sunday morning.
Stag’s Bloodbath will determine who will be this year’s Capitan of the Stag’s Blood and you don’t need to have a Stag’s Blood to fight for the title. But, you better come ready to fight in day-long tournaments and melees.
Kingdom Warlord Tournament will be held on Sunday of the event, in accordance with kingdom law. This will be a double elimination best two out of three multi-weapons forms tournament. Forms will include spear and shield, florentine axes, pointed stick (4ft or shorter spear with trusting tip on both ends), sword and buckler, and the final will be two handed axe. Forms may be added or removed as needed. Bring gauntlets and weapons to loan if you can.
This being a new site, we request that the Kingdom to come together and help us build this into an event site that can be proud of and use for numerous events. For the first couple of years we will not have a cost to use the land, other than what sweat equity we put into it. We will be allowed to build structures, as long as they meet building codes and make many other improvements. We have set up two clean up weekends; June 22-23, and July 20-21, 2019. There is a lot of land that is flat and has Cottonwood trees with high canopies and the Purgatory River runs meandering through the site. In order to access these areas we need to; establish and entrance from the south, clear tree limbs, clear cactus and old barbed wire fence and build roads and bridges.
Stags vs Tynes
The Stags Blood are taking on the Silver Tines in a clean-up challenge. Can the Stag’s Blood out do the Silver Tines in the number of people that they can get to come to one or both of the clean-up weekends? If you are not part of one of these esteemed orders, no worries, when you register at the clean-up gate just register as a supporter for a Stags Blood or Silver Tine. The winning group will be announce at the event.
